Can I walk alone?
The short answer is yes! Many outdoor professionals would advise against going out in the mountains or remote countryside alone. However, many solo travelers complete our walking holidays and thoroughly enjoy the experience. Proper equipment and sufficient experience go a long way to ensure that you have a great walking holiday experience, lonesome traveler or not. Please get in touch if you have any reservations on completing one of our great walking holidays on your own.
Can I travel to and from my walk using public transport?
Summary information on public transport is available on the Travel Info tab on each holiday web page. We are happy to offer advice and guidance on your transport options – just get in touch through our enquiry form.
We can usually arrange parking for your vehicle at the start or end of your holiday. Parking is at your own risk and will sometimes be “on street” parking. There may be a small fee to be settled with the proprietor before you start your walking holiday
Early May to late September is a great time to walk in the UK. You are likely to encounter a mixture of weather at any time of the year, so it is always worth bringing waterproofs and suntan lotion!
Unfortunately, we do not offer guided tours.
We are happy to work with bonafide travel agents and tour operators. Please contact us for further details.
